About

Ruth Kim found pottery almost by accident — a pottery date in 2018, a glass of wine, and a wheel she couldn't stop thinking about afterward. What started as one evening became years of study across four countries: a studio in Greece, a workshop in Paris, time at the wheel in Tokyo, a stretch in Switzerland, and now a studio in Barcelona.

By trade, Ruth is a product designer, and that same instinct — to build something considered, by hand, made to be used — runs through every piece she throws. Each one is one of a kind; small variations in glaze and form are part of the work, not a flaw. She dreams of a museum exhibit one day. Until then, she's just as glad for each piece to be a centerpiece of someone's everyday life.
